Mariea Flanagan is a graduate of UCC and the Principal of Flanagan & Co Solicitors in Nenagh. She runs a general practice firm and deals in the areas of conveyancing, family law, litigation and employment in particular. She is the solicitor for the Tipperary Education and Training Board. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her huaband, daughter, 2 dogs and cat and is the Chairperson of Nenagh Neptune Swimming Club. Her aim as TSBA President for 2016 is to improve communication between members and to build the TSBA’s profile with the public in general. Dermot O’Dwyer has been in practice in Cahir since 1982, and is a sole practitioner. He has been a member of the Committee of Tipperary Solicitors Bar Association for
many years, he is also a member of the Conveyancing Committee of the Law Society and has given talks to the Association members in the area of conveyancing. He has an interest in the area of mental health law and is a Chairman of Mental Health Tribunals. A native of Cashel he lives near Tipperary town. Music is his main relaxation and he has played piano/keyboard for many productions by musical societies and choirs. He is an Honorary Life Member of Tipperary Musical Society.
Marcella Sheehy (LLB Hons) was admitted to the Role of Solicitors in 2003 and has worked in Tipperary since qualifying. Marcella is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the firm of Cleary & Co. Solicitors in Clonmel. Her main practice areas are: Family Law, Criminal Law, Personal Injury, Probate and Conveyancing law. Marcella is a member of the Family Law Legal Aid and Criminal Law Legal Aid panels. She is a member of the Irish Mental Health Lawyers Association 2016. Marcella has been a Committee Member of the TSBA for many years and was elected as Honorary Secretary in 2012, a position she currently holds. Joseph P. Kelly, the Principal of James J. Kelly & Son, Solicitors qualified in 1987 having graduated from UCC. Joe gained Legal experience in Australia post graduation and then returned to the firm in 1989 where he now leads the firm as principal. Joe has gained many years of experience at James J Kelly & Son, Solicitors dealing with both private and commercial Clients in many aspects of Law.
Joseph also sits as Coroner for North Tipperary.

Billy Gleeson (BCL, Dip EU Law) has 34 years of experience in private practice, most of which was spent with F P Gleeson & Co, Thurles, where he was managing partner. W F Gleeson & Co was established in October 2005 by Billy. He has a particular interest in Company and Commercial Law, Wills and Probate, Residential Conveyancing and Licensing. Conor Delaney is a sole practitioner operating a busy general practice from Nenagh. A graduate from University College Cork and the Robert Schumann University, Strasbourg, France, Conor worked at the Court of Justice, Luxembourg and with the European Ombudsman at the Parliament in Strasbourg before being admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Hilary 2003. He is a former committee member of the Young Members of the DSBA and the LSBA and is currently on the TSBA CPD committee. Salome Hennessy is a native of Roscrea Co. Tipperary and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in 2008. She trained with Brendan Hyland & Company Solicitors and has also worked for Derivan Sexton and P.J O’ Driscoll Solicitors before joining Michael J Breen & Company 5 years ago. She works as a general practice solicitor focusing on conveyancing, probate, litigation and family law. Salome is an active member of the Roscrea Players drama group and has been a member of the TSBA committee since 2015. David Hodgins is a partner in David Hodgins & Co. He advises and represents local authorities and public
bodies and also has an extensive private client practice dealing principally in conveyancing, litigation and
probate.David has lectured and taught on areas of planning and environmental law and debt collection.
Originally from Cork but now settled in Tipperary, Kathleen Burke is a solicitor and partner in Patrick J. O’Meara & Co. in Thurles. She was admitted to the roll of solicitors in 2002. Her areas of practice include Conveyancing , Probate and Employment Law.

Before practising as a solicitor Maura Hennessey was called to the Bar in 1976 where she practised extensively in the Children’s Court in Dublin Castle under Judge Eileen Kennedy and prosecuted on the State’s behalf in the District Court. She then practised on the South Eastern Circuit in the area of litigation before leaving the Bar in 1982. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1984 and spent 23 years with Clonmel firm James Reilly & Son Solicitors continuing her court practise as well as focusing on probate and conveyancing law. She has been a TSBA committee member for the past 16 years, 6 of which were spent as Honorary Secretary. Maura Derivan obtained a BCL from UCD in 1980 before qualifying as a solicitor in 1983. She practised as a litigation solicitor in Orpen Franks in Dublin until 1987 before entering into partnership with Patrick Derivan in Derivan Sexton & Co. She has had responsibility for private client litigation with the firm from 1987 to date. Maura was elected to the Council of the Law Society of Ireland in 2006 and has served on the Council to date. She is a Former Chair of the Law Society PR committee and member of the Complaints and Client Relations Committee. She is presently Vice- Chair of the Law Society Regulation of Practice committee. Maura is a former Honorary Secretary of the TSBA and is presently PR Officer and a committee member. John M. Lynch studied law in UCD and qualified as a solicitor in 1981. He set up practice in his home town of Clonmel in 1983. His areas of special interest are Personal Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Family Law, Litigation, Estate Planning and Medical Negligence. He holds a Masters in Litigation and Diplomas in E-commerce and EU law He is a qualified trainer in Advocacy, an Arbitrator and Mediator and was the first solicitor to be appointed a Personal Insolvency Practitioner in Ireland. He runs a paperless office for over 10 years. He is a former President of the TSBA and current Chairman of the Clonmel Voluntary Housing Association. Richard Joyce joined John Shee & Company Solicitors in Clonmel in March of 2015 having spent the previous 5 years with McDonnell & Company Solicitors in Castleknock, Dublin 15. Richard had also worked with J.G. Skinner Solicitors in Clonmel prior to his move to Dublin. Richard is originally from Kilsheelan and attended Rockwell College and NUI Galway. He is a keen sportsman and in particular he enjoys rugby and golf. Colin Morrissey of English Leahy Solicitors, Tipperary Town, is a graduate of UCC and qualified as a solicitor in 2009. He is from Bansha and having worked in Dublin for a number of years post-graduation, he returned to practice in Tipperary Town. He practises in litigation law, with a particular focus on Criminal law and Personal Injury litigation. He joined the Tipperary Solicitor’s Bar Association in 2015.

Since admission to the roll of solicitors in Ireland in 2001 David Peters has practised law in general practice firms in Dublin, Cork and Nenagh, Co. Tipperary. He became the new principal of David Peters Solicitors (formerly O’Malley & Co.) in Nenagh in 2011. His main practice areas are criminal law defence, property and agricultural law, commercial leases and probate. David is a former associate faculty member of the Law Society of Ireland where he tutored trainee solicitors in litigation and advanced property law. Brendan Hyland studied in Trinity College Dublin before being admitted to the roll of solicitors in 1976. In 1979 he established B. Hyland & Company Solicitors in Roscrea. As Principal of this general practice firm he has particular interest in the areas of conveyancing, litigation and probate. He is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association and also is a member of the executive of Dublin University Football Club, having further served as past president of the organisation. He has been a committee member of the TSBA since 1979 and was also a former president of same. Patrick Kennedy joined the firm Patrick J. O’Meara and Company in Thurles as an apprentice and was admitted as a solicitor in the year 1983. Hailing from an agricultural background, he has a particular interest in bloodstock and equestrian matters. He practises in a broad range of areas with a particular emphasis on litigation. His practise areas include district court matters, personal injury and general litigation and medical negligence. He has been a committee member of the TSBA since 2013 and served as President of the association in that year.
